Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using www.thebayouhotel.com (“website”) operated by The Bayou Hotel (“Hotel,” “we,” “us,” “our”).

These Terms and Conditions set out the rights and obligations of all guests regarding their bookings on the Hotel website.

Bookings

All reservations must be made through our official website, by email or through authorised third-party booking sites or apps. All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by the hotel. For bookings made through our official website, deposit in the form of payment for first night is required at the time of booking to secure the reservation and guests are required to settle the balance payment, if any, during check-in. All prices quoted are exclusive of tax, unless otherwise stated.

Modification

Modification to the booking such as guest name, date and/or room type is allowed. However, date change or room type change is subject to availability and may incur an additional fee. Modifications should be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled check-in date. Please email us for modification request.

Cancellation, No Show, and Refund

In the event of any cancellation or no show, the deposit in the form of payment for first night will be forfeited. Refund for the deposit is NOT allowed. Please email us for cancellation request.

Check-in and Check-out

• Check-in time is from 3:00 PM. Early check-in is subject to room availability at the time of arrival and may incur an additional charge.
• Check-out time is before 12:00 PM. Late check-out and extension of stay are subject to room availability during the time/date of departure and may incur an additional charge.
• Key card deposit of RM100.00 cash and valid photo identification (NRIC or passport) are required at the time of check-in.
• Tourism Promotional Fee of RM3.00 nett per room per night is not included in the room booking and will be collected separately upon check-in.
• Tourism Tax of RM10.00 nett per room per night is not included in the room booking and will be collected separately upon check-out (applies to non-Malaysians/Permanent Residents only).

Duration of Stay

For bookings via our Hotel website, guests may book duration of stay from one (1) night to a maximum of sixty (60) nights. In order to book duration of stay exceeding sixty (60) nights, please email us.

Children

Children under 4 years old can stay for free when using existing bedding, subject to the room’s maximum occupancy. For children aged 4 to 12, an extra mattress is required (available for certain room types), with a surcharge of RM100.00 nett per night, inclusive of breakfast for one (1) guest. If a baby cot is requested, a surcharge of RM30.00 nett per night applies, subject to availability and only for infants under 1 year old.

Extra Mattress

Extra mattress is available upon request but subject to availability and allowed for certain room types only. A surcharge of RM100.00 nett per night applies for the extra mattress that comes with breakfast for one (1) pax.

Others

• Special requests are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
• The hotel is a smoke-free and pet-free property. Any violation may result in additional cleaning fees and potential eviction without refund. Please maintain a low level of noise and respect other guests. We do not tolerate acts of violence, vandalism, any other forms of commotion or disturbance and reserve the rights to evict any troublemakers as well as seek compensation for damages, if any.
• By proceeding with the booking, you further agree and acknowledge that if the booking is accepted by the Hotel, your stay subsequently shall be subject to the Hotel’s standard terms and conditions of stay. The Hotel may, at its absolute discretion, cancel the reservation if the Hotel is of the opinion that the reservation information provided is falsified or incomplete. The Hotel shall be entitled to vary, amend and/or otherwise change these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
• Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by the Hotel. We have no control over, and assumes no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. You further acknowledge and agree that the Hotel shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such websites or services. We strongly advise you to read the terms and conditions and privacy policies of any third-party websites or services that you visit.
• These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms and Conditions will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions will remain in effect. These Terms and Conditions constitute the agreement between us and regarding our website, and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have between us regarding the website.
